The patient chooses, with the advice of a specialized laserist, their Ultra Skin Booster cosmeceutical before the procedure.

There are 4 types of bulbs compatible with the LaseMD Ultra Thulium laser:

• Ascorbic acid (or vitamin C), a real radiance booster for the skin. This ampoule frees the skin from dead cells and reduces pigment spots for a more youthful face.
• Retinol (or Vitamin A), an anti-aging and anti-acne active ingredient. This ampoule stimulates collagen, regulates sebum production and reduces wrinkles and fine lines.
• Tranexamic acid, an anti-dark spot active ingredient. This ampoule lightens the skin by reducing pigment spots.
• Resveratrol, the star antioxidant of anti-aging active ingredients. This ampoule prevents the appearance of wrinkles and sagging skin.

The cosmetic doctor at the Clinique de la Croix d'Or will then adapt his laser protocol to the type of product to be applied to the skin as well as to the different more or less fine areas of the face, such as the eye contour or the corners of the lips.

HOW DOES THE LaseMD ULTRA Thulium LASER WORK?

The Ultra LaseMD Thulium laser device used by practitioners at the Clinique de la Croix d'Or in Geneva is a smart laser from the Lutronic brand.

This Thulium laser delivers a 1927 nm wavelength, which targets the water in the superficial layer and guarantees a fast and customizable treatment. Its cutting-edge technology allows a complete facial treatment in just 15 to 20 minutes.

During an aesthetic laser session, the practitioner adjusts the power of the laser, its depth of action, the density of the microbeams according to the objective and the skin type of his patient. He thus plans a tailor-made action, perfectly adapted to the cosmetic active ingredients chosen to penetrate each targeted area.

WHAT IS THE COURSE OF A LaseMD ULTRA Thulium FACE LASER SESSION?

The Ultra Thulium treatment protocol requires 1 to 3 sessions in a cosmetic clinic. Each facial laser session lasts approximately 1 hour , including skin preparation, mask application and cosmeceutical (specific serum or PRP ).

Once the patient arrives, an anesthetic cream will be applied to the targeted area. The skin will then be disinfected before starting the laser treatment. The treatment itself only lasts 15 to 20 minutes. It is painless and may cause some slight tingling.

After the laser, to soothe the heat felt on the treated skin, a specially designed mask will be applied for 20 to 25 minutes before leaving the clinic. After the treatment, the skin is sensitive to the sun and makeup, so simple precautions should be taken.

The aesthetic care protocol then continues at home. The patient must continue to apply their ampoule of active ingredients for 48 hours, without exposing themselves to the sun or applying any other product (cream, makeup, oil, etc.) to their face. The skin gradually regenerates during the week, a slight desquamation appears and it becomes increasingly smooth, clear and radiant.
