Your expectations
Dermopigmentation, also known as permanent makeup, places micropigments under the skin, in the superficial layers, for makeup that can last several years. Dermopigmentation is a procedure suited to women and men. Here are several situations where dermopigmentation is advisable :
- Irregular, uneven, sparse or non-existent eyebrows
- Asymmetrical lip contour, lips lacking definition, volume or color
- To hide unsightly scars (from breast reconstruction, for example)
- Clients who have difficulty applying makeup on a daily basis (for the visually or physically impaired, and for senior citizens)
- Chemotherapy patients
INTRODUCTION TO DERMOPIGMENTATION
Dermopigmentation can hide or intensify certain facial features, through the placement of subcutaneous pigmentation. Color and definition enhance the zones, creating contrast and beautifying the face.
This aesthetic practice fulfills diverse needs- from reparative dermopigmentation after surgery or an accident, to purely cosmetic dermopigmentation for increased self-acceptance and everyday confidence.
Whatever your motivation or the area to be treated, the Clinique de la Croix d’Or in Geneva will accompany you, advise you and reassure you in order to carry out an effective operation that perfectly meets your expectations.
Dermopigmentation is different from microblading. The latter is performed only on the eyebrows with a fine needle pen. It lasts, therefore, for a shorter time than dermopigmentation, which is performed with a dermograph, a tool specially created for permanent and long-lasting makeup.
Procedure for dermopigmentation
Together with the practician, the patient determines the areas to be treated, and the shade of micropigments to be inserted into the skin, in order to achieve the desired result. There is a large range of colors and coloring substances that match the patient’s skin coloring.
The professional then chooses the appropriate needle type, depending on the zone to be treated. The procedure lasts 30-90 minutes.
SIDE EFFECTS OF DERMOPIGMENTATION
WHAT ARE THE EFFECTS OF DERMOPIGMENTATION?
After dermopigmentation, it is normal for the color to lose some intensity. Once the area has healed, a touch-up session may help to adjust the color and the intensity. An ointment facilitates the healing process and diminishes redness. Prolonged sun exposure is forbidden during 3-4 weeks, and the application of total sun block is mandatory.
