The radiofrequency is a technique for restoring skin tone to the face and body through a triple action. The Clinique esthétique de la Croix d’Or, located in the heart of Geneva, uses Legato III which offers very interesting results for all phototypes.
The main indications for radiofrequency treatment are:
- Wrinkled skin
- Oval of the face
- White stretch marks
Legato III is the synergy of 3 distinct technologies whose separate actions are well known. It offers a response to a large number of skin lesions and imperfections as well as to the action of time on skin ageing.
The treatment consists of 3 phases:
Micro-ablative phase: thousands of microscopic channels are made in the skin to mechanically stimulate the skin.
Thermal phase: by the unipolar radiofrequency, a deep thermal effect is obtained, thus avoiding superficial heating of the skin and giving a tightening effect by its deep stimulation.
Topical phase: active molecules are sent at a good distance directly into the dermis by an ultrasound system.
Aesthetic radiofrequency sessions can be performed on the following parts of the face:
- oval of the face
- neck and neckline
This intervention is performed under local anaesthesia (topical cream 1 hour before the procedure) without hospitalization and lasts between 30 and 45 minutes.
After checking that the patient is properly installed, the doctor makes sure that the skin is clean and free of make-up. The procedure may begin with the repeated use of different handpieces. A sensation of heat is often felt, but without any real pain.
WHAT ARE THE CONSEQUENCES OF THIS INTERVENTION?
At the end of the session, a redness is present and persists for 48 hours. This redness is easily made up. In some cases, some small scabs appear after a few days, easily camouflageable there too.
ARE THERE ANY CONTRAINDICATIONS?
- Skin lesions or skin infections
- Photosensitizing medicament
- Keloid scars
