Phalloplasty (or penoplasty), a cosmetic operation that allows the penis to be enlarged in terms of both length and thickness, can be medical or surgical.

MEDICAL PHALLOPLASTY

Medical phalloplasty or medical penoplasty only allows for enlargement by injection of hyaluronic acid. The results last around 18 months.

SURGICAL PHALLOPLASTY

Surgical phalloplasty allows both enlargement and widening of the penis. Enlargement is achieved through lipofilling. Under local anesthesia, fat is harvested from the abdomen, buttocks, or another area, and then injected into the penis. Enlargement is performed under general anesthesia by partially severing the suspensory ligament of the penis.

EXPECTED RESULTS

Several results can be achieved with phalloplasty:


  • Penis thickening results in an increase in circumference of approximately 2 to 3 cm. This result is visible both at rest and during erection.
  • Penile enlargement allows for an increase in penis length of approximately 2 cm. This result is only visible when flaccid.

AFTERMATH OF PHALLOPLASTY SURGERY

FOR PENIS THICKENING

After the procedure, the after-effects are relatively simple and not very painful.
The clinical consequences may be edema and rarely hematoma. The resumption of activity is rapid, within 24 to 48 hours. The resumption of sexual intercourse is possible after 15 days of abstinence.

FOR PENIS ENLARGEMENT

Local care is necessary and simple and the surgical stitches are removed 15 days after the operation.

Clinical consequences may include edema, sometimes hematoma, and temporary deformity.



Resumption of activity is recommended after 1 week of rest and resumption of sexual relations is possible after 30 days of abstinence.
