Over time, the delicate skin on the neck, face and hands naturally loses elasticity and brightness. From the age of 35 for young skin, and from 50 for mature skin, injections of Profhilo® – a new hyaluronic acid – provides bioremodeling to combat the signs of ageing. Its double lifting and hydrating action give an instant boost to the target zones. The skin’s extracellular matrix regains elasticity and tightness: for youthful, natural and lasting results.
Injecting this natural product nourishes the skin cells. The hyaluronic acid stimulates the production of four types of collagen and elastin in the body for twenty-eight days. Results are visible from the first injection until one year after the end of treatment.
PROFHILO® INJECTION
Profhilo® is a cocktail of naturally occurring substances with a high concentration in hyaluronic acid (64mg/2ml). First and foremost, it provides deep and durable hydration, but its stimulating action also provokes an increase in collagen production in the treated areas. The cumulative long-lasting effect of this process results in newly firm skin, with taut, remodeled skin tissue.

SKIN REJUVENATING TREATMENT
At the Clinique de la Croix d’Or, all treatments begin with a consultation with one of our practitioners. This consultation is a chance to establish a complete diagnostic of your needs, identify the zones to be treated, and inform you of the pros and cons of available treatments. If Profhilo® hyaluronic acid injections are the ideal solution for you, two sessions will be scheduled one month apart.
In order to rejuvenate the face, lessen wrinkles, and diminish acne scars, the doctor will determine five strategic injection sites. He will target precise areas on the cheeks, nose, ears, chin, forehead and/or jaw in order to achieve optimal results. The injection is painless and quick.
Very rapidly, the product penetrates the skin, is diffused, and stimulates collagen production. After only a few days, the skin is noticeably more glowing. The effects last from nine months to a year. To prolong results, the injections can be renewed.
sIDE EFFECTS OF THE TREATMENT
Profhilo® is a biocompatible solution, derived from hyaluronic acid that is naturally present in the body. The product is easily absorbed by the face and body. It causes no noticeable side effects, other than occasional and mild redness, bruising or itching on the day of the treatment. The patient can return to work immediately post-treatment after leaving the Clinic.
There are no known long-term side effects of this skin-rejuvenating treatment.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
There are no contraindications to the injection of Profhilo®. This treatment is perfectly suited to patients with tired, dehydrated, or slack skin. Men and women can restore radiance to their hands, necks and face without cosmetic surgery.
As a precautionary measure, our clinic does not recommend using Profhilo injections to patients who
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Are allergic to the injected product
- Have auto-immune diseases
- Have skin conditions in the treatment zones
- Currently taking aspirin or anti-coagulants (subject to the opinion of the physician)
